SATURDAY 9/21 Come celebrate the Center’s annual Bugfest and have an
exciting time look at and learning about bugs, reptiles, birds
and other animals that live in the nature center. Heartbeat volunteers have already learned how to identify to
order level will be trained to advance to family level identification
SUNDAY 9/22 Families of the Pikesville Rotary Club will join together to survey sections of a stream in the Pikesville/Owings Mills area. After the survey, volunteers will work with Save Our Streams to plan follow-up activities.
SATURDAY 10/5 GWYNNS FALLS GET TO KNOW YOU WATERSHED FESTIVAL 12pm - 4pm Winans Meadow, Leakin Park Baltimore City Join the GFWA in bringing together residents and organizations
to celebrate and learn about our watershed! Last year's
festival was a success and this year is gearing up to be
bigger and better! Join Towson University students and the Baltimore County Green Party as they cleanup the stretch of Towson Run that passes thru the University campus. WEDNESDAY 10/16 Concerned Maryland residents will learn how to determine if a proposed development project could harm their community’s environment and what your legal rights and how to resolve your concerns before the projects final approval. SATURDAY 10/19 Heartbeat volunteers have the opportunity to identify stream samples collected over the last year. Training is available.
TUESDAY 11/12 HOW TO WIN LAND DEVELOPMENT ISSUES WORKSHOP 7:30pm - 9pm Westminister Senior Center Carroll County Concerned Maryland residents will learn how to determine if a proposed development project could harm their community’s environment and what your legal rights and how to resolve your concerns before the projects final approval. SATURDAY 11/16 Harford County volunteers have the opportunity to learn how to identify aquatic insects to the order level. Training is available. SUNDAY 11/17 Save Our Streams will be one of many exhibitors and presenters
to the families and students of Chizuk Amuno at their annual
Mitzvah Fair, where they will celebrate the opportunity
